Analysis of Work Management System

In EDUC 771T, I learned about applied research in the Training and Development field. Our semester project was to conduct an analysis of an organization. Utilizing best practices, our analysis consisted of an interview, survey, focus groups, and review of extant data.

For my project, I conducted an analysis of UMBC Residential Life's Work Management System, AiM. UMBC Residential Life and Facilities Management are scheduled to update their Work Management System AiM in summer 2018. An analysis was conducted on Residential Life staff with the goal of assessing and evaluating current performance of staff in relation to AiM and recommend any necessitate changes.

UMBC is currently a couple versions behind in AiM and data collected supported the need for an update. In addition, results showed a lack of skills and knowledge in staff on the system. Recommendations were provided for specific training needs.
